| Oseredok Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Centre and the Centre for Ukrainian Canadian Studies, University of Manitoba are pleased to announce the launch of a joint public lecture series for 2007-2008.
This collaborative project pools the resources of two Winnipeg-based cultural institutions in order to address issues of culture, history, heritage, identity and community.
Alexis Kochan, noted for her distinctive Paris to Kyiv recordings, is the first presenter in the series.
Her topic - Ukrainian Ritual Songs: A Personal Journey - will provide insight into her motivation for collecting and performing ritual songs and sharing them with a Canadian and international audience.
