World War Two
The Ukrainian Canadian Committee (UCC) was established in November 1940. It was an umbrella organization that attempted to co-ordinate the activity of several nation-wide non-Communist Ukrainian organizations. The committee contributed to the Canadian war effort by encouraging military enlistment, promoting the purchase of war bonds, supporting Canadian Red Cross campaigns and endorsing women's volunteer activity on the home front.
